Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 4, 2026
1. Who we are
MyAthletePath is a youth athlete development platform that helps parents, athletes, and coaches track training, goals, stats, and progress. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Information we collect
Account information: name, email address, and account type (parent, athlete, or coach).
Athlete profile information: name, date of birth, gender, height, weight, sport, position, team, school, graduation year, photos, and bio. Height and weight are used to automatically calculate Body Mass Index (BMI).
Activity data: logs, goals, injuries, mental check-ins, stats, development plans, team polls, messages, and other content you create.
Usage data: pages viewed, device and browser information, and basic analytics used to improve the product.
3. Children's privacy
MyAthletePath is designed to be managed by a parent or guardian on behalf of minor athletes. A parent or guardian is responsible for the accounts and data of athletes under 18 in their care.
We do not knowingly sell children's personal information. Athlete data is only visible to the athlete's parent, the athlete (when given an account), and coaches the parent has explicitly linked.
Parents may review, edit, or delete their athlete's information at any time from the athlete profile, or by contacting us.
4. How we use information
To provide and operate the platform, including profiles, training tools, teams, and messaging.
To generate AI-powered development plans, insights, and coaching guidance. Relevant athlete context (such as age, sport, height, weight, and calculated BMI) may be sent to our AI providers to produce these results.
To communicate with you about your account, updates, and (with your consent) marketing.
To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
5. How information is shared
Within your circle: athlete data is shared with linked parents and coaches according to the role-based permissions you control.
Public profiles: if you choose to make an athlete profile public, the information you mark as public becomes viewable by anyone with the link.
Service providers: we use trusted vendors for hosting, database, email, payments, and AI processing. They may only process data on our behalf.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data retention & security
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion at any time.
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and row-level access controls, to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep your information safe.
7. Your choices & rights
You can access, update, or delete your information from within the app or by contacting us.
You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data; contact us to exercise them.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the date below. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
